“I was both amazed and pleased with all of
my contacts at ABP. From the initial contract signing to book production, I
received prompt and personal attention during each stage of the process. My
editor provided me with excellent suggestions while respecting the integrity
of my work, and she made the re-writing process easy. My copy editor had
the patience of Job as I seemed to find new corrections in each of the two
PDF files before finalizing for the printer. The book design was beautiful
and the artist very adeptly incorporated all of my wishes.
Production kept me informed of the book's
progress and approximate deadlines for the fast-tracking of my book, and I'm
looking forward to working with marketing to make the most of rapid exposure
for seasonal sales. What a great learning experience! I now hope for sales
for reasons other than profit and entertaining readers. I'm looking forward
to a sequel and repeating the process!” —Vicki

"My
experience with American Book is one I will not forget. I
enjoyed the banter of thoughts with my editor. I feel her
guidance resulted in a better portrayal of the ideas presented
in the book. The cover created to represent the book is ideal.

"From
the beginning of my contact with American Book Publishing, when
I approached them as an unknown writer, and through the entire
editing and production process, ABP has been consistently
professional, courteous. Considerate, straightforward and easy
to deal with. Every person I had contact with was friendly and
supportive. The ABP team knows what they are doing as a company
and this is reflected in the way each individual treats others.
My
editor, especially, was an indispensable creative partner in the
production of the book we were working on. Her knowledge and
kindness showed exceptional qualities not only as an editor but
also as a colleague. I believe American Book Publishing places
enormous value on their human resources and that the quality of
the work they do is high and rewarding." –Howard Cooper

“Research and a gut feeling, both factors which led to my selecting American Book Publishing to publish my first collection of short stories. If ever I encountered a bump in the process the staff were always quick to respond and always helpful as the inevitable questions arose. My editor, Maryann, was wonderful. Her concise attention to detail caught things which I hadn't considered myself when writing, and I can't possibly speak well enough of her patience and attention throughout the editing process. I came to rely upon, and genuinely trust her judgment and experience. Thank you, MaryAnn!
When it came time for cover design I couldn't have asked for a more flexible group of folks than Jana and her crew. Through my rejection of the first cover, the second was much more relevant to the material and she even made changes based upon my feedback. I find the cover much more appealing and enticing as a result.
Marketing has provided a wealth of information and resources to aid in helping me make my book a success.
Without the combined efforts and attentiveness by the entire American Book Publishing team my journey would assuredly have been far more painful and equally less pleasing. Working in concert with them along the way has been a great experience” – Jeff Nicklaus, Author of The Light, the Dark, and Ember Between |

“From the professional guidance of Nathan, when I first submitted my manuscript to American Book Publishing, to the detailed instruction and wise counsel of Jeffrey as the book approached the official release date, I received in-depth, professional guidance on every aspect of the publishing process. Stella, Director of Editing Services, provided timely, precise instruction and information throughout the editing process. Jana, Director of Design, coordinated, developed and produced a beautiful graphic design for the book that far exceeded my expectations. Jenny, Book Production Coordinator, patiently and meticulously guided me through the final steps of production. My editor, Julie, demonstrated rare skill by profoundly clarifying and elucidating every aspect of the manuscript. From the structure of simple dialogues to the clarification of complex philosophical concepts on time and space, Julie brought a clarity and integrity to the book that greatly enhanced its appeal and readability. “Several people tried to tell me that I could not write a book, and if I did, I would never be able to find a reliable and honest publisher. I am so happy to tell them that they are wrong, because not only did I find a honest publisher, but I found a publisher which took a interest in me as well as my book. I was assigned a caring editor, Latina, who took such good care of my written word, and showed me such patience and kindness that this experience was wonderful. “I have enjoyed working with the staff of American Book Publishing all through the process of working on my book. At the beginning I was really struck with the professional approach taken to first review my book and assess it for suitability for publishing.
When I received the good news that my book had been accepted by American Book Publishing I was really delighted. The editing process was thorough and although it required a lot of work on my part to respond to the editors’ queries, I must say it was enjoyable. I was encouraged by each subsequent version which looked always better than the one before. And many times I thought we had reached the final version but the editor was a perfectionist who kept us working until we got it perfect.
The designer was great and very impressive about the cover picture she suggested. It immediately caught my attention and it had a lot of meaning relating to the book. I have the feeling she read the book and understood it very well before working on the cover design. The marketing department has been superb and remains so. I must say my relationship with the ABP marketing approach started way back when I read the Author’s Guide.” —Muzeyi Kapere Author of Sexual Concepts and Sexual Stores: The African Man's Perspective |

Editors Leslie and Kara, guided by Director of Editing Services, Stella, did an outstanding job of patiently guiding us through myriad edits and rewrites. “I started out the editing process with Kaitlyn, my editor, giving me some suggestions to re-work my stories. I took all of her suggestions and was happy with how much stronger my messages in the stories were being conveyed to the reader. Kaitlyn also recognized dreams as being the common denominator between all of my stories which was brilliant. I went from having an assortment of ideas, to a main theme and focus and everything else fell into place after that.
I then worked with Jana on the book cover. I liked the cover that was designed for me and felt Jana had taken into account my vision and feel of the book. Similar to my editing experience, the book cover was done with quality the first time around and there was no need for alterations.” —Devan Nychka, Author of Live to Dream |

“For new writers I highly want to recommend American Book Publishing. I have made only good experiences with each and everyone of the employees of this company. When I did send my manuscript in I naively believed all an author does is write a book and the rest is up to the publisher. Never had I been so wrong. And even if my patience were tested on this ride of new experiences and discoverings, I always had American Book Publishing to lean on. My experience with my publisher Olivia had taught me more than just how to articulate myself in a more sophisticated way, but also spellbind the readers, I do want to thank her again for her work and for her fast responces to my questions.
As I mentioned everyone of the employees which handle my manuscript and me were a Godsend. I have learned a lot and I am very thankful for this experience and the company I had.” —Conny Conway, Author of Never-ending Dream |

“I am so pleased after several beginnings of trying to edit my book that Melinda was assigned to me. She was so patient and caring in suggesting ways to enhance what I had written. Many times I had to stop and think about what she was saying but in the end it always made since to me. This was a great learning experience and at times thought of giving up with all of the other things going on in my life. At intervals I had to stop just to get nine-weeks test out of the way but Melinda with understanding helped me to continue working.
The design of the book was also great. I really didn’t have a concrete picture how the cover should look and that is why I left it up to American Book Publishing. You’re the professionals and know what will be successful in the book market. As it turned out I am very satisfied with the cover. It’s in black and white, which I feel emphases the title in an interesting way. I’m relieved and satisfied with the end product and would recommend Melinda Paulson as editor to anyone.” —Sherry Watts Morrow, Author of Woman of the Mountain |

“In short, getting my book to print was a very good experience, but only with all the people that I do need to thank. Every step of the process was handled by real professions. Michelle was my first editor and she got me pointed in the right direction. She made it easy to get the book to where it needed to be. However, Jon really helped me through the process while providing excellent insight. He also kept me informed along the way which in a process that takes over a year is really helpful.
The other two processes that deserve real credit in the final phase Jana, the Director of book design and Jenny in production. The design is great and the process was indeed effortless due to Jana help and the production coordination with Jenny was great especially in keeping me in the loop on the timelines.
Good process becomes a great outcome only through the efforts of the excellent professionals like Michelle, Jon, Jana and Jenny. Thanks again for all your help.
Special thanks to Stella for keeping the project moving and for providing that someone that you could go to if you ever needed the help.” —Stephen C. Flaherty, Author of The Power Is in the Question: Demystifying Small Business Growth |

“Now it is my pleasure to reflect on my professional relationship with the American Book Publishing process in this publishing of my book: The Shamrock Crown and the Legend of Excalibur.
I cannot begin to express how wonderful my experience with the editing department during this process has been. Stella kept me in the know about the process even though I may have asked her a hundred times about a topic I should have known from the Author's Guide. And my editor for the book itself, Jennifer was outstanding in so many ways. What comes to mind at first was her recognition that this Legendary Tale of mine was of epic proportions and thus would have to be longer than usual, as far as the number of pages in the book went. Then her editing skill came into my understanding quickly as she helped me clarify, reword more succinctly, identify characters more vividly, point out vocabulary issues, underscore how to better create the connections in a particular scene, and generally retool the work so that it would flow smoothly for the reader and reveal its plot in an exciting and interesting manner. Throughout all of the editing process she was professional and friendly so as to make me think that my book was the most important thing in her world. One way she did this was to point out various passages, which she thought really WOW-ED her or would do so for the reader. One final point I'd like to make is that I could always depend on a timely return of the chapters, so much so that I could plan my schedule around its receipt so that I could get right on the issues and return the adjusted chapters to her quickly. Then came the PDF file phase and even in that phase, editing was most helpful even to the point of addressing issues I found in the manuscript such as a double period where one should be and getting it removed.
Jana was terrific in her understanding of what I was hoping to generate in the mind of the reader as they saw the book's cover. Using my son's book cover illustration as the basis for the final rendition she promptly and expertly responded to my interpretations of what I wanted for the cover even to the point of changing the color used to print my name and the color for the back cover. I cannot thank her enough for her help.
Throughout this publishing process Jonathan, and Jeff, of American Book Publishing have been understanding and cooperative as I sometimes jumped the gun in the process in my excitement to get exposure for the book under way. I think everyone understood that they were working with what I would call my work of love created over a period of years. I say years because in the midst of working on the first novel, I submitted my sequel (The Stone Cutter Genius) and that process was and is running simultaneously.” —Arthur Cola, Author of The Shamrock Crown and the Legend of Excalibur |

"Being my second book published but first book published by American Book Publishing I already had been through the Publishing process once and could tell a difference in Publishers immediately.
I was tickled pink inside when the editing process finally finished, it seemed my book Retribution was polished with literary brilliance from the inside out.
It was nearly a week later when I heard from the Design department at American Book Publishing with idea's for the front and back cover of Retribution.
After several days of looking over the cover idea's none seemed to make me happy and I asked for more idea's from the Design department.
Without hesitation back to work they went and sent more idea's with the perfect one for my book lying just in front of me now. The Design department gave me just what I wanted and they worked until I was happy with the out come.
I am now starting the marketing phase of the process and look forward to the same great service from them."—Ronald J
